How we met…

Brian and Autumn met on the internet :) Autumn knew Brian was a special one when he wrote her a poem about this photo of her with Peaches the gorilla, and had her genuinely LOLing. Unfortunately, data security from this certain website will not let the couple access this poem, as they both deactivated their dating profiles pretty quickly after they met. It is the biggest regret of the bride’s life that she did not take a screenshot of perhaps the greatest work of American literature she has ever read.

Their first date was at Italian Eatery. Autumn was apprehensive to attend as the groom was coming straight from the airport after a cousin’s wedding to meet her. He showed up in his trademark Lululemon travel pants, suitcase in tow. She knew immediately when she saw him that she could put her guard down and they had the best night together laughing about their stoned server and getting to know each other.

The next few years were like a dream. They always knew they were meant to be together; picking up on each other’s cues, knowing just how to make the other laugh, pushing each other to be their best.

The Proposal

Brian planned a spectacular day (which, of course, involved a lot of lying and scheming) and Autumn hadn’t a clue. The couple were supposed to be going to dinner with Jeff and Jess, a plan Autumn had been aware of for weeks, so she suspected nothing. Luckily for Brian, Autumn doesn’t know where anything is in the city, so when they got out of their Lyft nowhere near the restaurant, she still had no idea what was happening. They walked along the river, Autumn still somehow thinking everything was normal (how she ever gets anywhere is a mystery we may never know the answer to). All of a sudden, Brian stopped along the way, got down on a knee and asked Autumn to marry him. Of course, she said yes! There were also some special surprise witnesses: a man sleeping on a nearby bench and another man motorboating his lady a few feet away. It was very much a Brian and Autumn moment, and those lovely people will be a part of their story forever.

The couple is so happy to be spending the rest of their lives together, creating more fun and special memories. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of the people we love most!

See you all soon,

xoxo
